Organisational Set-Up

The Femina HIP team works in several programme areas:

Media Communication Programme:
Produces long term recurring, as well as one-off media products. Together these print and electronic products create a media platform promoting life skills, positive role models and resounding voices.

Community Mobilisation Programme:
Disseminates the media products to partners across Tanzania; cultivates ‘community conversation’ and the development of supportive environments for open talk, critical thinking and the notion that social change is possible.

Public Relations and Networking Programme:
Builds a strong media and lifestyle brand through advertising and distribution of promotional material; develops partnerships with civil society, corporates, the press and the government which support and facilitate the existence of the Femina media platform.

Organisational Management & Development Programme:
Develops organisational capacity to enable the organisation to be managed effectively and efficiently. Femina is headed by an Executive Director, with four Line Managers coordinating departmental activity, as well as a Council and Board of Directors and an International Advisory Group overseeing organizational development.
