Behind The Scenes of Chaguo

Watch Fema TV Talk Show for a look at the making of a film brought to you by Femina HIP.

Last October we told you Femina HIP was on the set for a film shoot. Now Fema TV Talk Show viewers will get to hear from the people behind the short film Chaguo, as well as view some interesting behind-the-scenes footage. The episode will air this Saturday the 6th at 19:30 on ITV and Tuesday the 9th on TBC at 21:00.

We interviewed the film’s director, Maria Sarungi Tsehai, cast members Kimlola A. Kimlola and Nuru Hassan, as well as the cinematographer from Compass Productions, the company that produced the film. Viewers will also learn from scriptwriter Irene Sanga and some Femina HIP staff members about why the film was made and the process that took place from writing to training to production.

Chaguo is a half-hour film about a young couple whose world has been shaken by conflict and risky behaviour. They are struggling to communicate, tell the truth and make tough choices about their relationship.

The film project was coordinated by Femina HIP as part of the OneLove campaign in Tanzania.

Chaguo will premiere the following week during Fema TV Talk Show on Saturday 13 February on ITV, and will also air on TBC on 16 February at 21:00.
