Last week we reminded you to watch Fema TV Talk Show’s special episode on “The Making of Chaguo.” Now viewers finally get to see the actual movie.

Chaguo, a Tanzanian production, premiers with Fema TV Talk Show this Saturday the 13th at 19:30 on ITV, as the first of a weekly series entitled “Love Stories in a Time of HIV and AIDS.” This series consists of ten half-hour educational dramas, each from a different country (Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe), and subtitled in Swahili.

The drama will also air with Fema TV Talk Show on TBC1 on Tuesday, 16 February at 21:00.

Produced by Compass Communications and directed by Maria Sarungi Tsehai, Chaguo is a story about a young Tanzanian couple dealing with infidelity and peer influence. They find themselves having to make the hard choice of whether or not to reveal painful truths about their relationship.

The series brings out a range of issues by portraying couples, friends and families dealing with situations including the risks of: engaging in sex for money, having poor couple communication, peer influence, cross-generational sex, and having many partners at once.

Keep checking our news updates as we bring you more details about other opportunities to watch Chaguo and the Love Stories series.
