Latest from Si Mchezo!

We are on the ground in Iringa!

November-December issue

November-December issue

The Si Mchezo! team is in Njombe district right now collecting stories for the January-February issue. The theme is Fema TV Talk Show’s upcoming Ruka Juu project on micro-entrepreneurs, and the editors are down south documenting the TV crew’s work on the ground in local communities.

If you haven't seen the current issue of Si Mchezo! (November-December), make sure you get your copy or download it here. Working again with our friends at the Champion project about male involvement, we focused on the ever-intriguing theme of couple communication. The testimonial features a young family of three from Lindi. Their tale is about how mother and father work as a team when it comes to family planning, money, HIV testing, raising their little daughter and all kinds of issues important to couples and families.

Also in the November-December issue are some pieces on gender-based violence, a photo-story on a wife caught being unfaithful, and a profile on our friends – PEMWA (Patronage in Environmental Management and Health Care Warriors), a Lind-based organisation that works with the Ishi project to help youth gain life skills and access health information and services.

From an out-of-school youth
Why is it when you talk about starting FEMA CLUBS you only talk about secondary school students? What about youth from the streets, don’t they need to start clubs? Ahazi Asoni from Ifwenken.
