Latest Si Mchezo! Arrives

Our cover personality tells us a thing or two about male involvement.

The January-February issue of Si Mchezo! is an attention-grabber. Produced in Arumeru, Arusha, in partnership with UMATI, we talked with community members about how gender roles and male involvement affect the use of Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) services.

How does a boy from a traditional culture-driven community change his ways and end up a progressive young man, proud of cooking, cleaning, washing and other housework? Find out from the cover story featuring 22-year old Lutha S. Nasari, known in his town as “daktari wa mifugo” for his work in administering healthcare and treatment to local livestock. His life story and work as a peer educator for UMATI’s gender equality projects make him a smashing example of positive male involvement in our communities.
