New “ABC” Poster Out

The ever-popular “ABC mpaka Z” poster has been revamped.

The second and latest version of the “ABC mpaka Z” poster is now available. The concept behind this publication from Femina HIP is to broaden perceptions about relationships and sexuality. Youth are reminded that if they do have a partner, there is more to relationships than sex, and they can indeed find ways  to enjoy being together without rushing into sexual intercourse.

From A to Z, the letters of the alphabet are used to offer youth alternatives to sex (such as kissing, holding hands, or going places together), emphasise self-value and provide facts about condoms, transmission of infections, etc. The phrasing is concise and catchy, designed to make the messages easier to remember.

The letters are mingled with a brief cartoon story that follows a couple’s conversation about where to take their relationship.

The ABC poster also comes in a pocket-size folded version.

The posters are being distributed nationwide to secondary schools and the FHI/UJANA  network of Ishi volunteers.
