Various booklets

Femina HIP produces a range of publications on different aspects of HIV/AIDS and healthy lifestyles in partnership with stakeholders including UNAIDS, Concern, TACAIDS and FHI/UJANA. Some of these are cultural adaptations of publications from the Soul City Institute for Health and Development in South Africa. This is one of the largest edutainment organizations and producers of media materials in Africa. The organization operates a capacity-building and networking programme. Femina HIP is one of 9 partner organizations in the southern and eastern African region taking part, and in collaboration with local partners, has adapted and tested several publications for a Tanzanian setting. The language is clear and easy to understand and a lot of photos and pictures are used.

These one-off publications aim to equip people with healthy lifestyle skills including breaking the silence surrounding HIV/AIDS, reducing stigma and "living positively." These are distributed strategically to organisations, local government, schools, Care & Treatment clinics and HIV testing centres across Tanzania to fill an acute gap in the provision of information materials.

The booklets include:

Chagua Maisha (Choose Life)

Femina HIP’s most recent booklet, Chagua Maisha, aims to help youth build life skills around understanding sexuality, gender, and relationships.
