Transforming My Focus
by Baraka Paschal Sanga of Lupila Secondary School in Njombe
I am Baraka Paschal Sanga, an 18-year old student at Lupila Secondary in Njombe region. Currently I am in form five, studying Economics, Geography, and Mathematics.
Before I joined the Fema Club in form three, I used to divide my time between studies and romantic relationships. Reading aunt Cos’s advice in Fema Magazine sparked a turning point, she emphasized that romance and academics often don’t mix.
I reflected deeply, what do these relationships contribute to my education? I realized they offered nothing helpful. I made the decision to end them and refocus on my studies.
Since then, my grades have improved significantly. The existence of the Fema Club at school and my opportunity to join has helped me reach this advanced level. Fema taught me to leave unhealthy habits and stay focused on my academic goals.
