I Feel Restored and Focused

By Stavius Steven Josia of Nyambulikano Secondary School in Sengerema, Mwanza

I am Stavius Steven Josia, a 19-year-old form six student at Nyampulikano Secondary School. I first joined the Fema Club in 2018 at Nyakanga Secondary School and feel lucky to have continued my A-level education here at Nyampulkano Secondary School in 2022.

Currently, I serve as the counseling coordinator for different age groups at my school, addressing various relational and life issues that students may face.

Being a part of the Fema Club and reading Fema magazines has helped me resist temptations, unsafe sex, and peer pressure during puberty.

Despite being in a relationship during form three, Fema's guidance taught me the importance of focusing on my studies and avoiding unnecessary distractions.

Through Fema's inspiring stories, like "Vumilia Toboa" about living with AIDS, I learned valuable lessons that influenced my decision- making.

Thanks to Fema, I was able to end my relationship and regain my academic focus, leading to improved performance in school.

I am grateful for Fema's impact on my life and hope to pursue a career in broadcasting or journalism, inspired by the support and guidance I have received.
